Please review this checklist before submitting your art.
Art and digital files that pass this pre-flight test usually flow through our system with ease.
1. Layout
- 1/4" bleed when art extends off the supplied template
- Critical elements must fall within safe zone area
2. Digital Images
- Image resolution must be 300 ppi or higher
- Every file (including linked or placed files) used to create the final piece must be included and editable
- Images must be saved at 300 ppi/dpi and sized to 100 percent
- Images must be saved as .psd, .tif, .eps or .ai files
- Editable versions of all files must be included
3. Fonts
- Reverse type min 12 pt reg. -10 pt bold serif, 10 pt reg. -8 pt bold sans-serif
- Convert all fonts to outlines/curves
- Include all screen and printer fonts
4. Software
- Hi-Res PDF, Photoshop and Illustrator files accepted
- Note: Word (.doc), Publisher (.pub), PowerPoint (.ppt) and Excel (.xls) are not acceptable file formats
5. Art File Submission
- Files should be submitted to the assigned sales representative
6. Colors - Process and PMS
- Colors should be defined as either "spot" or "CMYK"
- All spot colors will be matched to Pantone coated colors
- Converting spot or RGB colors to CMYK will change the appearance of the color
- CMYK 4-color process
- Coated Pantone PMS
7. Design Tips
- Avoid small type and other thin elements
- Avoid borders, text and art elements that run close to and parallel to the product's edge
- Include image, font and layout files
- Convert fonts to objects/outlines
- Preserve editing capabities on the file so that we can re-size as needed
